MONTCLAIR, NJ — A “game night” at the recently reopened Catchings Owens Community Suite next to Glenfield Middle School was interrupted by a group of mask-wearing minors with fireworks last week, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the miners entered the building on July 5 and set off firecrackers. They then fled south on Maple Avenue.

Police said there were six youths present, including two suspects. The gender identities of the other minors were not available in an initial police statement.
