Robust connector for harsh environment applications such as rockets and aircraft introduced by TE Connectivity


HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania introduces the DBAS 9 connector used in the harsh environments of military and space applications.

This push-pull connector combines the reliability of the DBAS 7 connector with the flexibility of standard D38999 inserts. The DBAS 9 connector also provides cost effective solutions using AS39029 signal and power contacts.

TE’s DBAS 9 connector offers a visual and sensitive push-pull locking system for blind mating applications; main clip helps prevent accidental uncoupling on demand; easy lock/unlock in heavy-duty lanyard configuration; scoop-proof; rack and panel function; and a wide range of back covers and accessories.

Wide range of inserts and wide range of shell and accessory types with multiple surface finish options allow integrated solutions for custom designs, such as integrated back shells, fiber optics and broadband solutions .

DBAS-9 connectors can also be manufactured according to European Space Agency (ESA) procedures to improve the traceability and quality assurance required for critical space applications.
