What is the correspondence?

Trent Rockets take on London Spirit in final women’s games Hundred in 2022.

When does it take place?

The match is scheduled to start at 3.30pm BST on Saturday August 20.

Where is the game played?

Trent Bridge is the venue, with this match the first half of a doubleheader which is watched by the men’match between the same teams.

Who has the form?

London Spirit are winless in two games – first beating against Southern Brave and continuing unsuccessfully against Northern Superchargers.

The Trent Rockets, meanwhile, have only one victory to their name in three games; they have struggled for runs in each so far but have a top class bowling attack including Katherine Brunt, Nat Sciver, Sarah Glenn Alana King who made close matches of under par targets against Manchester Originals , Oval Invincibles and Birmingham Phoenix.

They successfully wore Originals out, winning mostly thanks to a hat-trick from King, but were eventually beaten by Phoenix and Invincibles. As the competition progresses and the pitches become increasingly worn, expect the King-Glenn duo to take on even more importance.

What’s the team news?

There are no new injury concerns for either team, who have both been affected by the absence of key England players. Heather Knight is out of competition with a hip problem, but Nat Sciver has since returned after missing the Rockets’ tournament opener for personal reasons.

What is the key match?

Beth Mooney’s rates will be absolutely vital for London Spirit, whose batting formation relies heavily on the Australian fly-half. His awkwardness should at least guard against some of the threat posed by leg spinners Alana King and Sarah Glenn.

The same goes for his opening partner, Grace Scrivens, who has impressed without scoring significantly so far in the tournament.

Similarly, Sciver is key to the Rockets; she fought alone for an unbeaten 59 in the loss to Oval, with neither Elyse Villani nor Mignon du Preez making major scores.
